Jennifer Liang, Ph.D. – Specializing in Alternative Investments, Jennifer worked in fund of hedge funds portfolio management teams for various Wall Street firms. While the experience with working for reputable financial institutions was rewarding, she has always craved something more inspiring. Over the years she has realized that her real passion is in math and she wants to dedicate herself to math and science education.
Jennifer has taught undergraduate math and statistics courses as a teaching assistant at both UC Berkeley and the University of Chicago while she was a graduate student. She has also taught the senior Olympic math class at HuaXia Chinese school as well as 4th grade math at Westchester Math Lab, an after school enrichment program.
Laura Liu, Ph.D., MBA – Laura has had rigorous math and science training in her studies in China and the U.S. After working as a research scientist in chemistry, she obtained an MBA in finance and worked as finance manager at the magazine publisher Time Inc. for over a decade, where she enjoyed combining her quantitative skills with management and communications. Laura is passionate about education and youth counseling. In recent years, she has been actively involved in Scarsdale PTA and HuaXia Chinese School in various leadership roles. She often teaches in elementary classrooms as a parent volunteer, leads workshops and activities in the STEAM fields and tutors math.
