Jennifer Liang, Ph.D., CFA – Specializing in Alternative Investments, Jennifer worked in fund of hedge funds portfolio management teams for various Wall Street firms. While the experience with working for reputable financial institutions was rewarding, she has always craved something more inspiring. Over the years she has realized that her real passion is in math and she wants to dedicate herself to math and science education.
Jennifer has taught undergraduate math and statistics courses as a teaching assistant at both UC Berkeley and the University of Chicago while she was a graduate student. She has also taught the senior Olympic math class at HuaXia Chinese school as well as 4th grade math at Westchester Math Lab, an after school enrichment program.
Lian Wang, Ph.D. – Has many years of experience in research and development in pharmaceutical industry and was the second person in command at Abbott R&D center in Shanghai. While at work, Lian frequently gave presentations to audiences of various backgrounds and is skilled at explaining complex problems to colleagues. She has close to 20 publications in prestigious scientific journals.
Lian shares Jennifer’s interest in education. She is actively involved in many school activities and is serving as a substitute teacher at HuaXia Chinese school.
